Dr. Kumbaiah Murthy is a practicing psychiatrist and former faculty member at the Brody School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, and East Carolina University. He completed residency training in Psychiatry and Neurology at University Mississippi Medical center and Vanderbilt Medical School. Currently, he is the Medical Director for Preferred Alternatives, Inc. Cary, NC. Areas expertise include: Evidence based medicine; Psychopharmacology; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Constructive living Therapy; and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR).
